    Here’s what I’m building for us:

    An independent interactive application that can be accessed through the web or downloaded as an app on your phone or tablet. The application will be the HOME OF EVERYTHING I do, gathered in one sacred space.

    You know like the ever-growing pile of notebooks, journals, arts and stitchery projects? This is my version of it, in digital form including all the teaching material I’ve ever created. And you’re invited to take part of it first hand.

    Why?

    Because after ten years of independent artistry I am TIRED of the platforms, the ever-changing algorithms and features that leave you feeling like you’re always behind.

    For years I’ve craved a space where I can share my art freely with you, all of it, without diluting myself or worry about adapting to the rules of an algorithm. I’m tired of building on rented land or in spaces that can’t smoothly fit everything I want in the way I want it.

    I do embroidery and teach, I also draw, paint, write poetry, essays, books AND run a non-profit organisation called Survive To Thrive that brings empowerment to women and youth in disadvantaged areas through art education (for some this is the first time they experience that their voice matters).

    The Petronella Art Studio will host EVERYTHING that matters to me in a way that will impact not only you and I but grow far beyond what any of us could do alone.

    Designed as a spark of empowerment to integrate art in your everyday life, the feed is not only a first-row seat into my studio practice, but also a space for you to expand in your own artistry and far beyond.
